I thought Jan Veseley was gonna be sick.
To give myself a little bit of credit, that same draft I thought Kawhi Leonard was going to be the best player and I was mostly right
Game analysis, highlights and everything else that is happening in the NBA.
I thought Jan Veseley was gonna be sick.
To give myself a little bit of credit, that same draft I thought Kawhi Leonard was going to be the best player and I was mostly right
I once thought Ben Simmons was gonna be the next Giannis and advocated for Philly to trade Embiid and build around Simmons.
As a Knicks fan I thought Kevin Knox was going to develop into a Tobias Harris type player
I thought the Thunder trading James Harden was “not that big a deal” and they would easily make the finals again
I thought Austin Rivers and Lance Stephenson would be perennial all stars
I thought the Big 3 era Celtics made a mistake trading Sebastian Telfair and keeping Rondo
"Doug McDermott is gonna be the white Steph Curry" after about a week of watching his highlights when the Bulls drafted him.
Jajuan Johnson and E'Twaun Moore will be a great duo in the future.
I thought the Bucks would regret trading for Holiday, particularly because I didn't think he was 4 draft picks better than Bledsoe. Winning a championship pretty much nullified all of that.
For me it's just ever getting excited about the Wolves. They just keep proving me wrong, so here's hoping for the streak to end.
I guarantee that Denzel Valentine would be an all star…
As it turns out, Elfrid Payton still has to prove he's a multiple time all-star.
I thought Trae would be a flop because hit shots would not translate in the NBA
Chandler and Curry would lead the Bulls to a title.
Emanuel Mudiay is going to be the steal of the draft. 🙃
I still believe in Anthony Randolph
kendall marsahall one of best passers ever
That embiid would always be hurt and be another Greg oden
I was pounding the table saying scoot was the best player in this draft. In just 3 pre season games I have seen shit from wemby that I have never seen on a court ever. 7'4 Durant and mutumbo all in one. Smh. My argument was injury, but hounestly scoot is the one that's been hurt. He missed a lot of games for ignite.
I thought Ja Morant was gonna win MVP in 2023. The Grizzlies had a deep playoff run in 2022 and I thought Ja was gonna make the jump to being a superstar this year. 😬
I remember thinking Sebastian Telfair was going to be HIM. Oh man. 😭😭
Ben Simmons is a jump shot away from being LeBron 2.0
Ben Simmons was the Prince to LeBron James being the King.
Aww man where do i start? (Circa '15) said "i would take WB over Curry if starting a team because it seemed like W Russ was more suited at carrying a team where as Steph was in the perfect situation that maximized his akills".
Mi 148⁸
Westbrook wouldn’t adapt and he def has and is killing it
Fellas I was wrong about:
Anthony Randolph Michael Beasley Wes Johnson/DeMarcus Cousins (was relieved the Wolves didn't draft Cousins at the time) Randy Foye Klay Thompson Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (funniest shot ever)
I remember being sure Acie Law and Chris Douglas-Roberts would be longtime nba contributors. Tbf they both got on with teams for awhile at least. Not one truly spectacular story, but this reminiscing is making me realize that simply by knowing about guys and having thoughts about them, I become considerably more wrong than I'd be if I just never even heard of them.
I thought Eddie Griffin was going to be a Top-5 player.
At the time, I was in middle school, I thought it was kind of dumb to trade Divac for Kobe Bryant and then later trading Eddie Jones to give room to Kobe.
I thought the Warriors were done as a contender after 2020, and I thought there was no way Andrew Wiggins would ever be a significant, irreplaceable part of a title team
Not mine but kinda. When Sebastian Telfair was drafted my old roommate bet me $500 on a 20 year bet that he would end up being better than Magic Johnson. He said “if he’s considered an all time great, which he will be, etc.”
He’s never paid me lol
“Wow, I know he was kinda cancer but the warriors are going to be even worse without Monta Ellis, this Curry kid just doesn’t have the same scoring ability”
That Jimmy Butler was the problem and that he was causing locker room issues wherever he went.
Then I saw him on JJ Redick’s podcast and realise dude just wants to win and doesn’t handle bullshit or hypocrites well.
In 2019 i predicted Luka and Kristaps are 2 years away from winning a championship.
I thought that James Wiseman is a great pick for the Warriors
Nick Wright said Cavs would sweep KD Warriors after he signed with them
