To give myself a little bit of credit, that same draft I thought Kawhi Leonard was going to be the best player and I was mostly right

I once thought Ben Simmons was gonna be the next Giannis and advocated for Philly to trade Embiid and build around Simmons.

As a Knicks fan I thought Kevin Knox was going to develop into a Tobias Harris type player

I thought the Thunder trading James Harden was “not that big a deal” and they would easily make the finals again

I thought Austin Rivers and Lance Stephenson would be perennial all stars

I thought the Big 3 era Celtics made a mistake trading Sebastian Telfair and keeping Rondo

"Doug McDermott is gonna be the white Steph Curry" after about a week of watching his highlights when the Bulls drafted him.

Jajuan Johnson and E'Twaun Moore will be a great duo in the future.

I thought the Bucks would regret trading for Holiday, particularly because I didn't think he was 4 draft picks better than Bledsoe. Winning a championship pretty much nullified all of that.

I was pounding the table saying scoot was the best player in this draft. In just 3 pre season games I have seen shit from wemby that I have never seen on a court ever. 7'4 Durant and mutumbo all in one. Smh. My argument was injury, but hounestly scoot is the one that's been hurt. He missed a lot of games for ignite.

I thought Ja Morant was gonna win MVP in 2023. The Grizzlies had a deep playoff run in 2022 and I thought Ja was gonna make the jump to being a superstar this year. 😬

I remember being sure Acie Law and Chris Douglas-Roberts would be longtime nba contributors. Tbf they both got on with teams for awhile at least. Not one truly spectacular story, but this reminiscing is making me realize that simply by knowing about guys and having thoughts about them, I become considerably more wrong than I'd be if I just never even heard of them.
