I have seen posts that the rust project was setting up it's own Mastodon instance, and now it seems to be live. I assume we will se some official Rust news being posted on this account soon. And hopefully there will be other interesting accounts to follow on this instance in a not so far future.

And if I understand it correctly, it now would be enough for them to ping in this community in a post to get it do show up here... so that might be something for them to think about.

This account is actually a Mastodon account I created a few months ago to test posting and commenting on Lemmy instances. The comment, and this post did show up on the social.rust-lang.org instance, so I think they're also able to just reply to posts where they're pinged.
