Nice collection . What’s your experience with Baltic mr01 ?

[–] waynshaun@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Love the size, the finishing, and the value they present.

Don't love the larger than necessary bezel and the roughness of the movement.

Probably the one piece I'm happy to get rid of without much second thoughts

I feel you are an elegant honest practical man. The collection is just clean cheque.

Ya got some definite bangers in there, but I am deeply disturbed by the redundancy on display here.

Unless one was given to you by your grandpa, and the other was given to you by your Other grandpa, there's simply no excuse to have both of those nearly-identical seiko divers.

Then those two nearly-identical dress seikos are themselves redundant with the GS (and JLC).

But maybe that's just my 'tism acting up again 🤷‍♂️

You have a watch collection

You enjoy the color blue almost as much as you enjoy Seikos, neither of which is explicitly a problem. A loved collection is a good collection, even if it lacks brand diversity

You watched popular YouTubers review watches and then bought each one they said you should.

Kidding.

Nice collection homie !

Seiko is usually the first drug for most. Nice collection.

The Jaeger-LeCoultre is the standout for me. Love it. and you got a wee bit tipsy one evening or partook of too any free glasses of champagne and bought yourself that G-shock. Alternate explanation: maudlin Millennial nostalgia moment

[–] waynshaun@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

third explanation - I bought into the Hodinkee x John Mayer marketing hype.

I didn't know the Ming 17.09 before your post. This watch is amazing.
