Lakers. Prolly 10th or 11th
NBA - Main
Game analysis, highlights and everything else that is happening in the NBA.
Pelicans are ranked 20 and the Raptors 25 on Espn!! Cant wait the first month of the season!!
The blazers or the spurs
Blazers. Love what they've done and think they'll improve quickly. Just don't expect many wins before the Allstar break for them.
Is the west more stacked than the East? Kind of random paring of top teams, but it’s what came to mind.
- Denver = Boston
- Suns < Bucks
- Kings = Cavs
- Warriors > Knicks
- Lakers = 76ers
- Clippers < Heat
Detroit or charlotte probably
Was the point of this post just to shit on the pelicans? Cuz I'm pretty sure even if 2 of Zion CJ and Ingram were out for the season, they'd win more games than the Blazers Rockets and Spurs
I got every Pacific team in that 40 to 50 win range. Any major injuries happen won't be shocked if they finish with as low as 35 wins.
Texas division I got Mavs winning it with about 45 wins. Spurs and the now incredibly thin bigs situation in Memphis sitting around 40 wins. Pelicans 45 wins tops but maybe 35 wins low. Houston probably in that 30ish win range.
Northwest Nuggets at 50. Thunder and Wolves between 40 and 50 wins. Jazz 35 to 40 wins. Blazers at 25 to 30 wins.
Is this troll bait for including the Pelicans? I think they’re more dangerous than any West team except the Nuggets.
Just a lot of uncertainty coming up. Especially with the younger teams gelling and key players getting injuries.
The blazers will probably finish near the bottom - unless things really come together for them. Probably the same with the Rockets.
Memphis will probably do much worse this year than last. But maybe they'll figure things out without Morant initially -- and if he comes back hot they could finish near the top.
The spurs and the thunder might surprise us, but I can't see either making the finals.
The clippers could do well or finish poorly due to injuries. Same with the warriors.
Utah and Sacramento might make the playoffs. Both teams are definitely good enough to occupy the middle - but not outstanding enough to make it work against the competition (imo)
The mavericks and the pelicans could do really well this year. Or go to shit.
I expect the Lakers to make a good showing again - particularly if Davis continues to look strong/healthy. But in the end I think Phoenix and Denver are the teams to beat in the west. Phoenix has made some significant changes - we'll see if it is enough 🤷
Somebody is going to have an unexpected key injury (or two) and I think THAT team will eventually tank.
I don't think they'll be the worst, but with all the missed games they're already looking at, Grizzlies deserve a shout out in this thread.
If Zion can manage to be healthy for 20% of the season, I don't think Pelicans will be one of the bottom few teams.
If the Kyrie plays more than 55 games, Luka has an all star season, and the role players step up and fit in well, I could see the Mavs being 12th or 13th in the West !!
Ima go with the jazz. Figure they will tank this year more than last.
how is it not blazers
Spurs and Rockets
Blazers fan here. They will be last in the west. They will probably be fun to watch a few quarters here and there but the rookies are going to get turned into a bbq chicken buffet.
Not sure how you can say the jazz are better than the pels. Those boys were HOOPING before injuries don’t forget.
