Here's where I stand on this - a player should be able to do all the celebrating they want, as long as they don't touch the opponent. If they wanna stand on the baseline and pop off while the other team gets a 5 on 4, be my guest.

With calls this egregious I’d love to see the player refuse to leave. Flat out just sit there refusing to leave. Pay the fine. See who makes it longer the player or the ref. Players should refuse to play with calls this bad. Errors are normal. This is not.

Stew and Giannis were escalating. They needed to do something to reel it in.

Giannis didn’t just mean mug, he also gave the “too small” signal. Now, this STILL shouldn’t have been a technical.

What happened: the ref was trying to deescalate the situation but completely forgot they already gave Giannis a tech.

Look at the face of the ref who calls the tech. To me, he looks pissed off.

Refs should never be pissed off at players, unless a player was to do something directly to them (shove, eg.). This ref is angry and he's T-ing up a player because of it.

Ref should definitely be up for some sort of mandatory retraining and be moved down in the ref rotation to less marquee games for this kind of behaviour.
