Data Hoarder

We are digital librarians. Among us are represented the various reasons to keep data -- legal requirements, competitive requirements, uncertainty of permanence of cloud services, distaste for transmitting your data externally (e.g. government or corporate espionage), cultural and familial archivists, internet collapse preppers, and people who do it themselves so they're sure it's done right. Everyone has their reasons for curating the data they have decided to keep (either forever or For A Damn Long Time (tm) ). Along the way we have sought out like-minded individuals to exchange strategies, war stories, and cautionary tales of failures.

Looking at other posts, the most suggested place to get refurbished drives is ServerPartDeals but the shipping + tax to Europe is brutal.

I found this one but he has only 35 drives sold: https://www.ebay.it/itm/404523811058?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=LLFi6ZEISiG&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=DzL4hzgbRtu&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Does anyone have specific eBay seller or place to recommend that is Europe based?

They don't get sold so much because the EU holds sellers accountable for faulty products a lot more. Plus GDPR makes it simpler to shred drives than wipe and resell them.

I've bought some on Alternate, and I don't have any problem. But contrary to serverdealpart I don't think there is a 2years guarantee.

Looking now, they have 12TB Exos for 160€ but don't ship outside Germany...
