Best city/cities in Mexico to stay in for a few months if I'm going to drive there from California? (alien.top)

I'm familiar with the challenges of driving in Mexico, so not necessarily looking for advice on that. Just looking for a good, affordable (emphasis on affordable) place to spend a few months if I'm going to drive down from San Diego.

Guadalajara. Lived there for 2 months and it’s amazing.

What parts of Guadalupe do you recommend? I'm looking for a neighbor that's walkable and with a lot of greenspace.

Guadalajara, La Paz, Mazatlán, Querétaro, Puebla de Zaragoza, San Miguel de Allende, Oaxaca.

The center of town gets a bit jammed at rush hours but parking isn't much of a problem normally.

Tijuana could be an affordable option if you don't mind the crime. The tacos are to die for!
