Leading the league in ppg at 32 on 51/38/75 shooting splits. Team is 5-1 with him on the floor and 2-3 without him. Truly an MVP caliber start to the season and no one in national media is talking about it.

Probably because he has played just 1 more game than he has missed. If he keeps this up he will get attention for sure

Fox is out there looking like prime Drose

[–] waydowninthewhole@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Prime drose but the way he runs and jumps looks more refined in a way to avoid future injuries

People said Shai dark horse MVP.

I’m thinking this dude is real dark horse MVP. He’s a 4th quarter demon.

[–] 100DayChallenges@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He’s pretty automatic from the free throw in on that little floater he does. In a close game he’s looking for it every single time

[–] MentalErection@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I will always be torn on that Sabonis and Hali trade but if this guy keeps playing the way he has then that trade may go down as one of the most even trades ever done. The way Halliburton played since the trade always made me wonder if Kings made a mistake dumping such a great leader. But maybe this is the time Fox goes nuclear and shows he’s just as good running a team

Shai isn't a dark horse anymore. All it takes is one Jokic injury and he's one of the favorites.

Didn’t he win clutch player of the year last season?

I don’t know. Those numbers are pretty pedestrian.

Kidding of course. Dude’s electric.

Another thing you should consider going forward for your own sanity is that the longer your formerly bad team is good, the less other fans are going to be excited about it, and at a certain point they’ll straight up start to resent it lmao

You guys are lucky the NFT shit happened when the Kings weren’t good yet bc y’all could be getting that Grizzlies fan experience

He's played 6 games bro

[–] IronMntn@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Not a Kings fan but live in Sactown and watch them a lot. This dude is a superstar and for my money among the more underrated players in the league. Not that people don't acknowledge he's good, but for how good he is he flies way under the radar.

They traded the wrong guard

Unfortunately, as a Pacers fan, I’m hearing way more about Fox than I want to. Our fan base is getting all defensive in trying to “prove” Fox isn’t better than Haliburton. Sports fans are the most thin-skinned people on earth.

Everyone is too busy watching Harden and Russ, the new Bravo reality show…

[–] WolverineLong1430@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Lebron James needs more help.

[–] domingodlf@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

What stands out the most it that the shooting, apart from the 3, seems relatively sustainable. The volume will definitely go down though

[–] TheloniousMonk15@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

There are so many players having "incredible" seasons so players are going to have be truly exceptional to stand out going forward. Look at what Shai is doing for an example.

sorry i’ll try to talk about him more next time

Why do you care if random people on the Internet talk about him? Are you his mom?

nah im good

[–] Adventurous-Ad-6032@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I hope no one talks about it. Ever.

[–] sicklegirl@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I think Fox is pretty cool. :)

[–] Ok-Map4381@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Fox is at 61.4TS% & +7 TS+, which is efficient at his volume, but what really lifts the Kings offense is how he improves the shot quality for the rest of the team.

The team gets more transition 3s because the Kings get into the offense so fast with Fox on the floor, and defenses need block the paint to stop Fox from getting to the rim.

In the half court Fox saves the team from dead possessions because he can always get a quality look.

Fox's efficiency is good, but his impact on the team's offense is better than his individual efficiency numbers.

[–] doublek1022@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Naww... don't talk about it.

Let them find out. :)

[–] super-cowboyjon@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

So he's missed almost half his teams games so far?

That ain't MVP.

JJ Reddick said he won't be talking about MVP or any yearly season award until game 60 and no talk on All Stars until game 25.

[–] Green_Space729@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I feel like this is everyone’s stat line starting the season?
