not much of a collector, I’m always wearing a digital watch using the analog feature and saved enough for my first real watch, I’m not a show off person so looking for something for me and not something to show up, I’ve looked around and found this two pieces amazing, and discreet, wanna hear some personal opinions, I don’t think is necessary but both are around the same price, thanks in advance

Just get the one you, not reddit, likes more.

I think the Grand Seiko is much more unique, and a better quality watch due to its finishing and movement. I am referencing the models such as the Shunbun or snowflake.

However, the aqua terra truly can make a one watch collection and I believe it to be more versatile. So it depends, will you get more watches in the future? If so the grand Seiko, you can make that the classy dress watch or casual daily. But the aqua terra can be dressed down easier in my opinion.

I've had both. Trust me, get a spring drive gs.

I’ve been eyeing the GS GMTs as a Christmas gift for my dad and I really love the way they look. I also love the spring drive movement.

At the end of the day you’ll be the one looking down at your wrist. Get which one will make you smile more when you do.
