Hey I'm trying to create a social outlet for people, possibly a business idea. An important aspect is that guys and gals will be separated (long story, but it's not intended for dating, etc.). But I'm beginning to think that I may need applicants to prove their sex. Is their a way to do this respectfully? As in, not just ask their gender preference, but have them prove it on their form? Possibly upload a pic of Driver's License?

I'm just trying to avoid guys secretly signing up as females as a safety issue. Hoping I'm not offending anyone with all this. Thanks.

Biological sex. It's not subjective.

Don't let the leftist ideology make you confused.

Maybe you can just ask for a social profile link with IRL pics to determine they "are who they say they are" without mentioning you're looking for gender specifically.

What's the safety issue? What exactly are you trying to do that would create an unsafe situation?

How is it solved by enacting processes that deeply invade privacy?

Institute moderation and reporting features instead.

Knowingly creating a safety issue based on trusting people sounds like a bad idea already

I mean dating apps have catfish. I’m trying to do something similar but without catfish.

People aren't going to want to upload their license for an app. You could do facial verification, like an app called giggle did.
