Can someone non-snarkily explain why this isn't a travel?

At some point in 2010's NBA decided you could dribble the ball, stop with both feet, wait for a second, and then make a step forward all while lifting your back foot and still not called for travel.

Growing up in the 90s, if I stopped with both feet and just slightly shifted one of my feet, I'd get whistled for travel. It was either shoot or pass. So yeah, watching him ballet and be praised for doing it is infuriating.

I don’t understand how that’s not traveling. He picks up his pivot foot.

That booing made him turn up lol. So skilled

Kawhi is so interesting to watch, because he really lacks the conventional athleticism of a superstar. He's not especially fast, not especially explosive, and not especially vertical. His game is predicated on strength and finesse.

I like Kawhi as a player, but I loath that move because back in the 90s, it was called travel every damn time!

You loathe dunks too? They used to be widely ruled as violations in the 70’s.

Kawhi right clicked the file name 'offense.exe' and launched it as Admin.
