Quite fun in a mildly iconic way, takes two big batteries (torch type) the tail movement lasted about 6 months on new batteries but then not enough power for the swish. The clock keeps going longer.
New batteries and the tail starts working again.
How long have you got the clock for?
About a year. Still works
Mine takes two C batteries but I only have to replace one when the tail stops moving. It must be a separate circuit from the clock. I’ve probably only had to replace batteries 5 times in 10 years
