DeRozan's initial reaction is excusable because he may not have understood the in-season tournament rules or may not have considered that the other team wasn't aware of the elimination status. Expecting other players to not care about the tournament the way he claims to is stupid, though.

Mad that an opponent took a shot to pad the team's point differential? Even if there wasn't the in season tournament getting mad enough to confront the opponent's bench and head coach over this looks weak af.

Dude is soft and always has been. He's been ejected and pouts quite a bit. He's not getting a chip unless he's an elite 6th man or 3rd option and if he doesn't realize that yet he's gonna be a tank commander sooner rather than later.

Him being frustrated isn’t about siakam taking an extra shot it runs way deeper then that. There are clips of him literally shredding towels on half on the bench earlier in the game. DeMar wants to win and is frustrated with his team and is deflecting.

One day a team is gonna advance to the next round because they played a team that‘s already eliminated and didn‘t try to score in the last minute because of this unwritten rule. Distortion of competetition. Just keep on playing until the game is over.

If players wanna play until the buzzer, that's kind of the point of time being on the clock. I think anybody getting in their feelings about someone playing until the buzzer is utterly hilarious.

You play till the buzzer. If I’m the opposing team I’m trying my hardest to violate you in front of the fans. We can be buddies after the game but during the game I’m going after everything.
