Such a beautiful picture, I love how somber it looks. Where was this taken?

I’m pretty sure that’s Bucharest.

It's an interesting shot, and the composition seems right. However, was it perhaps taken with a wide angle lens (a focal length well below 30mm if a full-frame camera)? The buildings on the left seem to be leaning in at the top while the ground floor window on the far right looks vertical - which hints at the perspective issues I associate with wide angle shots. It may be you can reduce the issue by changing the rotation of the entire photo by a one or two degrees, so that the centre is straight.

Not sure where this was taken, but I know a lot of the old buildings in the Netherlands were built with a slight intentional lean toward the street. It's possible the buildings are actually leaning

I’ve taken it with my m4/3 om1 and panaleica 25mm f/1.4 II lense. ISO500, f/1.4 and 1/30 sec. I was moving and liked the light reflecting the pavement.

We would love to see more of your shots over at c/pics, too!
