Well, I am on Upwork and my profile rate is $35/Hour. Sometime I feel like I am not getting clients due to my profile rate. What should I do ? Any suggestions are welcome.

You posted in the wrong sub to get advice about r/Upwork. Here a few things that will help you win some jobs on that platform:

  • Improve your portfolio items, make them as relevant, professional, appealing, and impressive as possible;
  • Improve your proposals to make the best impression & impact, to showcase how good of a fit you are for that job (search the aforementioned sub for tips on that);
  • If you're new, work your ass off with your first clients to get the most stellar reviews possible. These first reviews are crucial for your success on that platform.

$35/hr isn't breaking most clients' price resistance. There are tons of successful freelancers with much high hourly rate than that (myself included).

Can you share your profile link ? I am curious to see

No thanks, I prefer not to dox myself, and keep my competitive edge for myself. The advice I gave above is plenty enough to kickstart your success on Upwork.

Thank you for your straightforward answer. I really liked it. Yes I will keep in mind.

what is the max rate that your competition charges (and gets order volume at that rate)?

[–] Sucess_Matra@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

It starts from $25/per hour and goes upto $150/Per hour but platform like Upwork it's for freelancers so we only get short term project and some clients are fussy. My max length on Upwork is 2 months so I thought my hourly rate is hight that's why client doesn't stay much with me.

Quit Upwork and start working on your own marketing to get real clients.

How can I quit my stable income and take a risk ? If I can get some clients through marketing I can think of it.
