I’m in my early 20s and developing a product (in the motorcycle industry) which I’m hoping will be ready to go to market Jan 2024, however, as a college student, I am… well… broke 😅 and ruining out of money to even fully launch this idea. I could get a few thousand dollar loan from my mom but I really don’t want to take her money because 1. If I fail at this thing, it will eat me alive and 2. She’s not as business savvy so I would get the money and nothing else. I guess I’m looking for someone who would be able to guide me and also put up capital. I know this one guy in particular who owns a motorcycle dealership. I had one conversation with him and he would be an ideal partner for this venture, how, if at all, should I approach this?

Many startup accelerators offer founder matching programs. Try looking around at places like YCombinator and see if they have any virtual networking events. Also check out some of their founder youtube videos as a few of them talk about choosing a cofounder and managing that relationship.

Good luck!
