Box Score

Save for one missed free throw, Zion was perfect today against the Sixers. This might be the most efficient performance of his career to date.

How many were lefty layups?

[–] krazy9000@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Does it matter when no one can stop the lefty layup?

57th best player btw

On a serious note, this mfer Zion is still one of the best young players in the league. Ik he hasn't completed a season but man, ppl be talking about him like he's past his prime. He's only 23, and is still capable of being a franchise player

I think people are just mad that we got robbed of the next all time great. Because that’s what he was on the path to becoming at duke. All he was missing is lebron’s discipline about his health and fitness off the court.

[–] cancercureall@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Still plenty of time to learn that discipline, I hope he does.

[–] iamse7en@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He'll just get injured again. Everyone knows it. Predictable

[–] EnochofPottsfield@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Agreed! It's kinda funny the Herro narratives are similar too

Both are just 23

[–] Ill_Celery_7654@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He ate tonight for real. This the Zion we all envisioned.

Vince Carter I’m Back .JPEG

Zion is easily one of my favorite players to watch. The stuff he can do at his size seems almost impossible. I really hope he can stay healthy, at least for a while

Y’all aren’t ready for December Zion

Fuelled by the thanksgiving meal and motivated by Christmas dinner, the man becomes unstoppable in between the two holidays

Same reason Zion will go off around lent/Easter if he stays healthy

[–] hhkk47@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

And hopefully we'll see playoff Zion this time around.

[–] KungFuJoe23@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Had a couple nice steals too. Stripped Batum clean and stole a Harris pass that would have led to a highlight dunk had Morris not grabbed his jersey. But got the clear path and made both so it’s all good.

I know it’s been said a million times already but PLEASE STAY HEALTHY.

What Moira Mills can do to a man

Zion and Wemby who goes 1st in a draft

[–] Ramificator24@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

It was always going to take him a few games to get going. If still like to see better defense but his offense more than makes up for it.

[–] hhkk47@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Opposing offenses target him for good reason. Although he gets a lot of highlight reel steals and blocks, when it comes to stopping the player in front of him, he's still a turnstile right now. It's the one area where his weight really affects him.

[–] LulJerbear@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He’s been really great now that he’s knocked of the rust. I just hope he can stay healthy

Zion had a near perfect eating performance against the Golden Corral: 33 bread based dishes (11/11 dinner rolls, 11-12 corn muffins), 8 ribeyes, 6 shrimp gumbos, 3 vegetables, +16 lbs

[–] altitties@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

When he gets his head right, he’s 1 of 1.

[–] TIandCAS@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Zion played amazingly but I assume every star will cook when Marcus morris and Mo Bamba are your primary defenders

[–] TheOtherSide999@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Reminds me of Anthony “Glass” Davis. Could be unstoppable during his prime but once he reaches his limit, his knees will be done lol 😂

[–] DoeSeeDoe123@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Embiid ducking another dominant big man to avoid getting embarrassed

[–] krazy9000@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He was really just ducking Jose. He didn't wanna have to pay another fine for the dude! All love for Embiid from us pels fans.

[–] AggravatingRent1478@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I know you're making a weird joke, but Joel has averaged 31.0 / 9.3 against Zion head to head. He cooks him and is an easy matchup for Joel

[–] Grosjeaner@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I notice Zion passes a lot despite there being an open lane. It’s probably a coaching instruction to preserve his body. If he really goes for it can probably reach 40 points fairly easily and regularly.

[–] SirDrumpf@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

god damn ... if he weren't so fat though..

[–] krazy9000@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

You're probably 5'6" 210lbs.

[–] rethinkingat59@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Zions game is in the top 10 all time highest scoring without missing an FGA. The list attached only requires 100% shooting from the field.

Wilt (of course) is top with a 42 point game. Chamberlain had 5 games with over 30 pts and no missed FGA.

Gary Peyton once scored 32 without missing a shot of any kind.

I’d take a fully healthy Zion over a healthy Wemby

[–] chibuye92@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

who was here in that thread where folk were talking shit because he was out of breath during an interview?? lol all those takes looking real fucking dumb right now

[–] LocalParanoiac@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Such a cool player, he really looked totally unstoppable out here, some sick passes too on top of everything else

[–] narucy@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Zion should keep himself healthy until the playoffs. Reduce his games and playing time.

If He suddenly increases his playing time, He'll get injured again.

[–] DonKobe24@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Where are all the fat shamers now? After a couple rusty games to start , he truly looks like he has not missed a step.. despite nephews on her telling you otherwise

[–] calleman13@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

But Reddit told me fat man was washed

[–] McBrungus@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yeah who would've thought he'd still be able to take defensive powerhouses Marcus Morris and Mo Bamba to the woodshed

[–] DoloTy@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

If you ain’t got no big body in the paint he’ll do this shit damn near every game

[–] InterviewFit5701@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

So is he like back for real now? I still can’t get over the fact that he had to pay to have sex with that atrocious looking chick

[–] nokiabrickphone1998@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I thought it was really weird how Zion told reporters afterward that he had dedicated this game to Henry Kissinger

[–] The-Pharcyde@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Wow missed one ft. What a bum!

[–] Kommander-in-Keef@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I’m just glad he’s healthy.
