They were hot garbage before. They exist to make money from gamers. Nothing wrong with that in and of itself, but you basically have two kinds of game developers. Those who love gaming, and those who are tired of or burned out from gamers and just want to exploit gaming. Live long enough, you'll see a lot of companies go from the first camp to the second (Bethesda, Blizzard). Developers and publishers in the second camp are best avoided. Problem is, people keep buying their games. So you've gotta try to support the ones in the first group. And, sometimes people actually like games from trash developers. Some will tell you their games are not that bad or that they found something they love.
EA's been in the second group for a long time. I don't think they will get any better. I think I will go on ignoring their games.
Honestly, EA was so bad before that they couldn't possibly get worse. Either their games get better or everything stays the same as it already was.
well sure, it'll be worse. Not like EA has had a glorious track record or produced original and innovative/good games in the past god knows how many years. They'll just transition purely to the Madden and Battlefield company with some Sims sprinkled in every now and again. that's it. Mass Effect is pretty much going to be done and dusted. fat chance we'll ever see another Titanfall. And I bet they'll buy the license for WWE from 2k or just offer WWE/TKO more money. With how closely the Saudi's are now with WWE and the fact EA already has the UFC...yeah makes sense.
Aw man, I was really looking forward to the new battlefield too. Oh well :/

They're publicly traded. Well, they were. Now they aren't.
What happens to stock people owned in EA?
They get paid $215 for every share they owned. So if you held 100 shares, you get a fat $21,500 check.
With a bit of luck we'll get a new SSX with the guy's favorite DJ and footballer as playable characters.
