1. Relevant commentary on your own dull life. Posts should be about your own dull, lived experience. This is our most important rule. Direct questions, random thoughts, comment baiting, advice seeking, many uses of "discuss" rarely comply with this rule.

2. Original, Fresh, Meaningful Content.

3. Avoid repetitive topics.

4. This is not a search engine
Use a search engine, a tradesperson, Reddit, friends, a specialist Facebook group, apps, Wikipedia, an AI chat, a reverse image search etc. to answer simple questions or identify objects. Also see rule 1, “comment baiting”.

There are a number of content specific communities with subject matter experts who can help you.

Some other communities to consider before posting:

5. Keep it dull. If it puts us to sleep, it’s on the right track. Examples of likely not dull: jokes, gross stuff (including toes), politics, religion, royalty, illness or injury, killing things for fun, or promotional content. Feel free to post these elsewhere.

6. No hate speech, sexism, or bullying No sexism, hate speech, degrading or excessively foul language, or other harmful language. No othering or dehumanizing of anyone or negativity towards any gender identity.

7. Proofread before posting. Use good grammar and punctuation. Avoid useless phrases. Some examples: - starting a post with "So" - starting a post with pointless phrases, like "I hope this is allowed" or “this is my first post” Only share good quality, cropped images. Do not share screenshots of images; share the original image.

Finally was left alone long enough to get my gun parts organized. Now I just gotta do this 2 more times for my other techs. I specialize in wunderbar and taprite barguns AMA

I was desperately trying to figure out what kind of gun parts those were and why so much of it was plastic and whether wunderbar and taprite were trendy new variations on picatinny rail or something... suffice it to say, we obviously think of different things when it comes to "guns" and "gun parts".

That's my favourite part 😂 it's not a thing anyone thinks about outside the industry.

I do want a tattoo that says "suns out, guns out" and it's two barguns touching tips.

It was well done, you got me. :)

Funnily enough a tattoo machine is often called a 'tattoo gun' too, although i believe tattoo artists prefer calling them tattoo machines.

I think a lot of industries call their thing a gun actually. We use an android phone with a scanner at work for all sorts of things (product inventory, order management, assigning electronic tags, article lookups, etc) and most of us call it the gun. Its predecessor did look like a gun, so the origins of the name make sense, the name just stuck after we switched to a phone with a built-in scanner. We also have a date gun, which prints off best before date stickers.

Put an NSFW tag on this!

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° ) nice.... Organization you've got.

The second wil go much faster.

And before you know it your shed is full.

It already is 😂 my warehouse is packed. It's not as bad as when I took over the department as it's been 2 years of slowly working through all the hoarded trash. Shit I could start a soda museum with the amount of old equipment we have. I love joking with bartenders their equipment is older than them.

Men: "I finally got my box filled!"

"Can we see?"

"Sure!"

impressed men sounds

"That's one fine lookin' utility box!"

Women: "I finally got my box filled!"

"You're cheating on your husband???"

"......yes? But that's not what I'm talking about. Look at this jewelry box!"

jealous sounding women noises

"Oh girl, look at all those diamonds!"

I have a bunch of these, they are great. One is just for IKEA hardware, because we moved so much and would lose or break a fastener during take down.

[–] JackFrostNCola@aussie.zone 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I have one just for PC screws from occasionally building basic workstations at my job.

[–] BCsven@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 week ago

That's a good looking tray of organized fasteners.

TIL those things have a name.

Here's a other but if knowledge, there's generally two types of system, Premix and Postmix.

Premix product comes premixed with soda and is ready to dispense like a keg.

Postmix is the opposite, most barguns I work on are this style and generally all fountains you'll see are this style. Basically bag in a box, hooked upto a pump and it mixes in the nozzle of the gun. Flowrate dictates Brix(syrup to water ratio) so you adjust that to calibrate using little screws.

All I see are bits and bobs, I have no clue how any of that works lol. What are the parts that fail most often?

Generally the little o-rings in the top right of the image. They get the most physical wear and tear as they have a small metal rod moving up and down past it every time you press the button. It happens the most with your soda/still water as that is pressed every time along with the sryurp.

That's a nice box
