Rep. Haley Stevens (D-Mich.) on Wednesday tripled down on her endorsement of Republican Mike Rogers in Michigan’s Senate race, where Democrat Abdul El-Sayed took victory after a bitter midterm battle on the campaign trail.

Rogers lost to El-Sayed, receiving 45.48 percent of the vote to El-Sayed’s 52.52 percent, according to The Hill’s election partner Decision Desk HQ as of 1:15 p.m. EST on Wednesday.

Stevens began a lengthy post on the social platform X stating that her beliefs were “never measured by who would win at the ballot box” and that she recognized that her “decision has consequences.”

Stevens addressed her “unwavering” support for Israel

If only her support for her constituents was as unwavering, she might have won the primary.

I guess supporting Israel is more important than supporting Michigan.

Of course it is. It's like Nancy Pelosi once said: “If this capital crumbled to the ground, the one thing that would remain is our commitment to our aid–and I don’t even call it aid–our cooperation with Israel. That’s fundamental to who we are." (source )

She's scratching her neck asking if anyone got anymore of that aipac money

[–] TN2VOA@reddthat.com 15 points 1 day ago

Haley Stevens (D-Mich.)

Does she still get to use the "D" when she was expelled from the Michigan Democratic Party?

I've seen rats leave a sinking ship all the time. I've even, bafflingly, seen rats get on a sinking ship. But this might be the first time I've ever seen a rat get on a ship that already fully sank.

She is doing her Tulsi Gabbard impersonation.

Probably want a job with trump as press secretary

[–] GuyFawkesV@lemmy.world 24 points 2 days ago (1 children)

How many Zacharia’s you think she’d last?

[–] kata1yst@sh.itjust.works 19 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I'm betting she'd make it 1 Mooch + 1 Zacharia.

[–] bitteroldcoot@piefed.social 37 points 2 days ago (1 children)

She will never get the job. Not pretty enough to be a trump bimbo.

[–] vividspecter@aussie.zone 8 points 2 days ago

Nothing a few rounds of Mar a Lago face won't fix!

It's not like any of the other picks are actually attractive either, just full of bad plastic surgery.

[–] lennybird@lemmy.world 16 points 2 days ago

You're onto something. Tulsi was compromised by Russia; Stevens by Israel

[–] soratoyuki@piefed.zip 18 points 1 day ago (1 children)

[–] rafoix@lemmy.zip 23 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I expect a few new Fettermans will unveil themselves in February.

[–] sik0fewl@piefed.ca 8 points 2 days ago (1 children)

It’ll be nice to have a bit of a buffer in both houses.

If it would be even nicer if they got their asses whooped by their voters.

[–] nodiratime@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

Has she tried smacking her lips a little harder?

[–] itsgroundhogdayagain@lemmy.ml 11 points 1 day ago

Only 59 days left in her term.

[–] Almacca@aussie.zone 46 points 2 days ago

Some people just don't know when to shut the fuck up, do they?

[–] Neon_Carnivore@lemmy.zip 38 points 2 days ago

Eat shit, Haley.

[–] friend_of_satan@lemmy.world 38 points 2 days ago (1 children)

[–] Suoibud@lemmy.world 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Anyone bothering to stop scrolling. So I guess us, comrade

[–] friend_of_satan@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Not true. I only came in here because I saw the comment count above zero.

[–] nkat2112@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 day ago

[–] CoconutLove@lemmy.today 4 points 1 day ago

Go away bitch

[–] echo@lemmy.today 21 points 2 days ago (1 children)

She was clearly a republican plant... both in the trojan-horse sense and in the intelligence sense.

[–] Nastybutler@lemmy.world 23 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I'd say she's more of an Israeli plant than anything.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

If I were to guess the kind of plant, I'd say cabbage.

[–] criscodisco@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

cabbage

Short with a dense head. Sounds about right.

[–] PP_BOY_@lemmy.world 19 points 2 days ago

she recognized that her “decision has consequences.”

Evidently not lol

[–] Archangel1313@lemmy.ca 20 points 2 days ago

Sorest loser, ever.

[–] 800XL@lemmy.world 10 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Call up her office in DC and tell her how much of a loser she is.

[–] MrSelfDestruct@reddthat.com 6 points 2 days ago

You betcha!

[–] Freeposity@lemmy.world 17 points 2 days ago

It's going to be really tough for her to find ways to get attention now that she's irrelevant and radioactive.

[–] AllNewTypeFace@leminal.space 6 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Were her statements written by AI again?

[–] TryingToBeGood@reddthat.com 13 points 2 days ago

Well sure, since it doesn’t matter.

[–] luckybart@lemmy.sdf.org 4 points 2 days ago

Oh no!

Anyway.
