Why does it not surprise me to see a certain elongated muskrat razing privacy policies to the floor, again

"Mildly" infuriating is an understatement, that is downright predatory behavior. Shelling out money you may or may not have in order to find a potential answer to an urgent problem you currently have is high in the list of scumbag moves. In related topics, why does the same thing happen often in regards to mental health support online?

Same here, I don't have $499 burning in my pocket to justify getting Spider-Man 2 when I have a perfectly serviceable PC that can do about as much as a PS5 and then some.

To an extent, Kingdom Hearts. Still waiting for the Steam Deck release

And that's why I have no friends, because when I propose "walking to my house to tell me" as an alternate method of communication, they throw their hands to the air and say "that's it, you're too much of a hassle"

I understand why is the device so expensive (they wanted to make sure that everyone in the manufacture pipeline is properly paid, and that the materials are ethically sourced as much as humanly possible) but yeah, unless I can be absolutely sure that I won't be changing devices in the next five years, I don't think I'll be able to afford this one.

And that's why I'm happy to see that the lock on modifying the Nvidia BIOS for their old graphics cards has finally been decrypted. That means that Nouveau will have a much easier route to make their open-source drivers work properly on the 10xx and 20xx cards, so we don't have to rely on the tainted crumbs that Nvidia offered here. (Then again, I eventually moved to a 6600 specifically to no longer have to deal with this kind of shenanigans)

Well, if I couldn't afford a subscription service before, now I absolutely can't. Problem is I'm too much of a goody two-shoes and as a result I don't pirate either - I genuinely haven't seen a single TV series in almost a decade as a result, and at this point I'm scared of people expecting me to understand cultural references I can't afford to legally learn

Nothing that can't be fixed by adding a quarantine option instead of deleting the offending picture. Hopefully someone can upload a patch for that?

My case is a variant of that - I used to host on a VPS, but the storage available was extremely expensive for, say, more than 16 GB. Tired of having to trim data literally daily, I went and purchased a home server with all the storage I would need. The problem? My home internet, being residential, is behind CG-NAT (not even a dynamic IP!), and that means renting a (much cheaper) VPS solely to expose my server to the open internet with a static IP.

Even if that algorithm is simply "sort by date" or "reposted by your followers"

Thanks for the clarification! I've never used Snaps myself (as I'd rather use Arch than Ubuntu), so I was unaware on how slow do Snaps run on an average computer. Again, sandboxing can be an overhead too large for an old machine.
