Linda Cardellini (Dead to Me, No Good Deed) has closed a deal to star as Pamela Voorhees in Peacock‘s Friday the 13th expanded prequel series Crystal Lake from A24.

Brad Caleb Kane serves as creator, writer, showrunner and executive producer of the series, whose premise is being kept under wraps.

Cardellini’s Pamela is believed to be a mother who had given up a singing career to raise a special needs child and takes a dark turn when she loses her son.

I love this show more than most I’ve ever watched. But there’s something I just can’t get past— How the hell does Jones keep getting cigarettes? Where TF do they come from? For all of the decades after the plague that she lives/works at the facility, where do they come from? Because, after 30-aught years, she would have smoked all of the cigarettes in her immediate vicinity, requiring multi-day trip for scav parties (which she also doesn’t have) to go hunt down more.

of all of the crazy things in this show, this is the one without a rational explanation given in the show.
