Just spotted this community on the instance and thought this seemed really cool! What are some good things to know about these boards? Any obvious limitations compared to raspberry pis? And what about these handheld emulators? Any gold standard options right now? Better yet, any prime day deals?

I tried Ubuntu, Armbian and DietPi. All have some issues. Ubuntu doesn't boot (blinking cursor), Armbian also doesn't boot (i don't remember what it displayed) and dietpi works but it crashes on updating.

Since GarlicOS is my favorite firmware for the Anbernic RG35XX I like to provide this great guide on how to install the custom firmware GarlicOS on the device by Retro Game Corps.

It's a fast & easy to understand operating system that should make Miyoo Mini / OnionOS users feel right at home with its similar look & feel!

Think of it as the natural evolution of my previous RetroArch port for RG35XX, with fully working sleep mode, improved button mappings, a whole new user interface and several under-the-hood bugfixes.

Hi,

This community is dedicated to all the Rockchip-based consoles from companies like Powkiddy, Anbernic or Odroid. Most of them can be found on shops like Ali Express as 10.000 games in one consoles, but are real treasures once you see that these consoles have a lot of potential. Odroid ships consoles that can be built on your own and ship without any ROMs or an operating system.

This community is for helping new or experienced people, showing off your work like ports or homebrew games or just vibing with the community in general. We hope you'll like this place!

Before you go and make your first post make sure you take a look at the sidebar for a quick rundown on the rules.

Have fun! 👾
