The Boys

THE BOYS is an irreverent take on what happens when superheroes, who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods, abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It’s the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about “The Seven,” and their formidable Vought backing.

Hi everyone, does anyone think that the real black noir could still be alive somewhere? We know from the most recent episodes that he’s been replaced by some guy who we don’t know yet but does that necessarily mean the real noir is gone for good? Or do you think he’s alive somewhere and due to return later?

Does anyone else find the childhood rumor thing incredibly silly? I swear it could be straight out of a teen movie. Anyone seen Do Revenge lol? I really think it could've gone so many different ways and be better. Now it's just what... You started a rumor and somewhat ruined my life (honestly is really stupid that a rumor like that could even be started about a 13 year old) and now I'm gonna be a mouthpiece for crazy conspiracy theories and empower psychos and start (not even new and creative) rumors about YOU now. Haha gotcha!

Every time I watch that first scene with SS and homelander in her room and she starts talking about Rome, it makes me cringe so much. Her delivery feels really unnatural.

She's supposed to be coming off as super confident and intelligent but the way the lines are delivered, the way she mumbles her lines, feels like someone who is really nervous rehearsed these lines and is delivering then in a way that they think sounds confident.

If homelander had commented on how uncomfortable she sounds and poked fun at her for it, that would have fixed it and she would be an interesting and complex character, but the way it is, her acting just doesn't make sense and doesn't blend well with the natural acting of the rest of the cast.

Characters like Firecracker can obviously represent the right in general but I think the writers are specificlly riffing on Marjorie Taylor Greene. Both are hateful right-wing political figures from the south who spread baseless conspiracy. While MTG serves Trump, Firecracker serves Homelander who's based on Trump(in the show).

One of the funniest claims about Season 4 is that the Boys used to make fun of both sides equally- that isn’t true but I have actually identified a couple times in the Boys and Gen V where they actually did make fun of the Left Wing.

Maeve and Jordan.

With both of those two they did the most performative ass inclusion efforts I’ve ever seen, insanely obvious shallow pandering in an attempt to prove how inclusive they are.

The Marketing Department over at Vought actually does a lot of this stuff and it mocks the ‘virtue signaling liberal who doesn’t actually give a shit’

It’s not quite as pervasive a take in the show as some of the right wing stuff but it is present.

Yeah I don’t know I’m just sharing this here because I was surprised to find any veracity to those claims.

Homelander

Stormfront

Soldier boy

You have to spend 24 hours in an isolated house with one of the above characters, you can't escape. Everyone's in a good mood (until they see you, after which it's your luck).

You have access to food (that includes milk), water, internet and alcohol if you want.

If you survive, you win a 100 million dollars.

Who's your pick? everyone is show version.

You know what I realized the boys are the villains they’ve put all these actions into motions which led to a lot of people dying also they caused temp v which lead to a lot more deaths and also disregarding the deaths if vought goes down the economy will probably crash and America will be in serious danger due to the supe terrorists and lots of people will be out of jobs

I'm reading the reviews for season 4 and seeing them all saying stuff like the writing is disjointed and the characters have become bastardized. I haven't noticed this at all, maybe it's because it's been a while since the last season, but it seems to just be business as usual to me. Maybe it's not quite as hard hitting as some of the show's earlier moments, but I certainly don't think it's half a star quality like a lot of these reviews say (it seems especially quick to jump to conclusions this early also). Is this just a cope for all the stragglers finally realizing where the show's politics lie, or there actually some drop off I'm not picking up on?

I’m curious about the difference in aging.

Stormfront and Soldier boy’s aging seemed to stop or slow way down.

But, we’re seeing Homelander dealing with aging?

I see this claim repeated ad-nauseam that the writers had to make Homelander more obviously evil in later seasons because conservatives saw him as a hero in season 1. But I have yet to see any proof of this claim.

In season 1 Homelander was a psychotic man-child who suckled mother's milk from Stillwell. He murdered a plane full of innocent people. He murders a mayor and his son in cold blood.

I just don't see what anyone would see as "heroic" about him. And I've never seen anyone praise him as a hero except strawmen.

Does anyone think they're setting Frenchie up to die? The emphasis on his guilt of killing all those people, him not getting with kimiko, and just in general feeling like a side character as compared to the boys. I kind of get the vibe that he's gonna die saving Colin to redeem himself.

On the other hand i also like remember voughthq leaking that at >!the end of the season all characters will go their own way and none of the boys will die.!<

I feel no sympathy for her. I don’t care how depressed she was. She abandoned her child. There’s no excuse. She’s a garbage person. Depression sucks I get it.
