No, they just didn't have your life. or your standards, or your 'skills'.

I grew up working-class, and upper middle class people think my social skills are shit, because I'm not endlessly passive-aggressive like they are. I have no issue communicating with with other working-class people, but upper class people think I'm a social freak because I speak my mind directly, which to them is an impossible idea. Of course, I can code switch and out passive-aggressive them and they think i'm very respectable and intelligent... but it's just fucking stupid and pointless to me. So I generally I just don't bother to ineract with them or I act stupid because I don't want to spend 15m listening to them about 'how to respect public space' when they are just pissed off my friend parked in front of their house on public street parking and they are upset because they think it is 'their' parking space, when legally it isn't.

It's almost as if we have entirely different ideas of what 'social skills' are. I think a selfish cunt is a cunt, no matter how politely they frame their discussion as one of 'public interest and being neighborly'. They think anyone who doesn't respect their passive aggressive flavor of being a cunt is destroying the social order of society. And where I come from, being neighborly is getting the fuck over yourself and not trying to claim a public street is your personal property that nobody else can use without your permission.
