TL;DR: I think they'd be fine and comfortable for a session of sitting and listening, but not if you're moving around a lot. YMMV as always.
I have the LCD-3, LCD-4, and LCD-5. The 3 and 4 are indeed heavy, but I've never had any muscle or comfort issues with them, if I'm sitting down listening they're very comfortable and easy to use. Moving around, or laying down on your back, etc. is a different story. They fight to fall off my head which is too risky for their safety. I've never had the 2, but I suspect it would be a similar situation.
As a comparison, if I'm listening to music while I'm doing something like loading the dishwasher or wandering around the room, the 5s are perfect for that as they stay on without any problem as they're light and clamp enough to stay put (or any of the similar style Audeze sets I would suspect).
