They do indeed eat it up, there's a weirdly annoying level of Fox crazy Divers anytime there's a major update (the regulars aren't usually spouting their hate for liberals at random), but to be fair, a swedish company isn't really responsible for stupidity of their casual American audience.

Also they have enough trouble keeping their player base happy as it is, they really didn't expect (or want) to be this successful

This is a wildfire already grown out of control, I am glad I stuck to playing Deep Rock Galactic and haven't gotten anywhere near this.
