I once saw a clip of Stan Van Gundy with handles that made me realize a lot of these coaches are nice at ball

https://youtu.be/21cE2aUbWB0?si=YtDKggluzppuMbmc

Then the other day I found out that one of the refs (Zach Zarba) played D3 ball, so obviously my next thought was for all-star weekend why not have some of the coaches play the against a team of all-star refs?

This would allow the refs to have the spotlight they’ve always wanted, which could potentially reign in the ref show from actual games; And it would allow the coaches to embarrass some of the refs as a way to vent their frustrations

I dont think it would be fair to have coaches like Chauncy Billups or Jason Kidd play against the refs though so I’ll limit it to guys who didn’t play in the league for more than a few years or not at all
