These are the first three watches I have every purchased that are not "fashion" watches. I stumbled upon this subreddit by accident a little while back and just started reading more about watches and got kind of hooked on the idea of learning about watches and starting a collection for myself.
I spent so much time browsing the budget brands like Seiko, Citizen, Casio and Timex and decided to treat myself for my birthday. As I am still learning I did not want to overdo it with my initial purchase and wanted to start small to make sure this is something I wanted to commit to and eventually spend more on.
At this point I have no idea what my "grail" watch is or even what my next watch will be, But I am quite pleased with my initial purchase!
Nice beginning! Also check out some microbrands - there are lots around and you support small businesses. As a bonus, you can also find some very unique pieces!
any particular microbrands come to mind?
