And music too. I'm 52 and thought live music had been dying for decades...but the new breed is really into it, and is taking it to places i don't even think i've seen before. The kids are alright.

New music? Angine de Poitrine just had a Smells Like Teen Spirit moment with their KEXP set, for starters. It has been a while since something real broke the mold like this. They are the real deal.

Sleep Token is also pretty special. They just can't seem to write a bad song, and they're legit musicians carving out something super unique.

They both have gimmicky visual surface level hooks...but, once you get beyond that, they're both doing something really amazing musically, and they're progressing the whole landscape of music right now.

Snarky Puppy/Jacob Collier are also redefining jazz at the moment, in case anyone hasn't noticed.

I mean, I saw NIN earlier this year and it was next level with how they incorporated Boys Noize into the set. But, I don't think anyone from Gen Z was involved in the show... and there weren't many in the crowd.

The fun part is that keeping people focused on differences between the generations is part of the trick of divide and conquer.

Except boomers, but even then, there are plenty of chill boomers. It just so happens that many of the worst in power happen to be boomers. Correlation != causation.

To illustrate your point, look at Stephen Miller, pretty solidly millennial and undeniably lacking any form of morals with only toxic waste where his heart should be

Leadership tends to favour the older generation as they are perceived to have more of the required experience

Hah. My old reddit/steam/etc name was bobdangle. Everyone obviously thinks it's my name but it's just what my dick and balls do

Ah yeah, I just have a big dickus. Sorry. Not my choice.

Holy shit, I haven't thought about Boys Noize in like 15 years. Good to see they're still going
