I own both. And I don’t think the Omega is any better or worse than the Santos.
Robust, yes but robust doesn’t equal better.
Theyre pretty comparable, but if anything I’d give the better build edge to the Santos.
The Santos shows every scratch and ding, in my experience.
The best question to ask is, what kind of watch owner are you?
If you are delicate and protective, the Santos is amazing. If you can’t help but wack everything in arms reach, get something more sporty, like the Omega or a Tudor Black Bay or Rolex Submariner.
If you’ll use a chronograph, get a chronograph, otherwise don’t, this is just another part of the movement that can easily break if not properly maintained. Heck, I’ve seen idiots mess up their chronograph by jamming on all the buttons when the watch wasn’t hacked.
