hey were raided by the feds for selling fake ‘executive personality analysis’ and helping tons of companies pick their c-suites based on woo-woo garbage surveys they were selling to fortune 500 companies for thousands of dollars each. Turns out the entire business was lies layered on lies

Obviously this is just a surface level description, but what you've described just sounds like capitalism to me. I'm struggling to figure out what law was broken.

I guess the mistake was ripping off wealthy people.

valid. iirc the thing that broke the dam was their psychologist being disbarred or having their license revoked, and everything fell apart after that.
