Yes, part of the class warfare last century was replacing retirement pensions fought for by unions and labor solidarity with 401k's tied to markets controlled by the whims of the wealthy and politicians they've bought. I've heard rumors as much as 25% of US markets are tied to ai over-investment instead of useful advancements like preparing for a post oil world or dealing with climate change impacts.
