Haha what a bunch of lukewarm bullshit, what do they think will happen to their company and privacy online if those Swedish Hitlers get political power? It will be taken and never given back.
I was going to say that my next renewal for VPN services will not be with Mullvad unless they kick that guy out, but the fact that they’re so cynical or deluded that they think they can polish this turd is the final nail in the coffin.
I will not be using Mullvad for VPN again, and if their founders or C-suite people hop to different companies I’ll stop doing business with those companies too.
We need to make it very clear that support for fascism results in a massive hit to your wallet so that the entire industry knows to never do this
Ugh. So stupid. My current Mullvad sub is almost up and I'm still trying to find an alternative. 😑
I went to AirVPN a few months ago after my Proton was expiring because I needed a VPN with port forwarding. They do a sale every anniversary (somewhre in Spring) and maybe one or two during winter holiday times.
It works like a dream in my homelab (gluetun + qbittorrent) and the Linux GUI client works, although i think you have to keep the app open while using it...
On Android, it's been jank. Like at first, it worked without issue and was great. But within the past few weeks, sites won't load, I'll have to refresh it often, and just general issues. This is happening both on my Graphene Pixel and my stock Galaxy Tablet. I think the Fire TV works well enough.
I did a speed test when I first got it, and for my laptop it only seemed to decrease by a little.
I was considering IP Vanish before I picked Air for the price.
I use VPN on my phone much more frequently than on my laptop so I definitely need one that works on Android.
I really appreciate your thorough response.
I'm probably going to go with ivpn.
Do you know good alternatives?
iVPN looks decent
I've heard good things about Nym, too; and I'm weighing which to plonk down money for. Anyone know a trustworthy site for comparison between the two? I remember one big VPN comparison spreadsheet from years ago but iirc it was outdated the last time I checked it
safing SPN
Exactly what's currently happening worldwide. Y'know, making China proud.
