- Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
- No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

America isn't like this because Trump is president.
Trump is president because America is like this.
Liberals believe Trump is the problem so they want to change the president.

By making it a shithole for vulnerable people and then not doing anything to actually make it better?
You're thinking if your average Democrat. The Democrat party is right-wing. We're talking actual leftists. The type of people who want the government to work for the people. If MAGA can take over a political party, we can too.
Its both to some extent. Removing trump won't fix the core issues but will stop the bleeding. Just look at how he's still trying to get tarriffs in. That's not a popular decision, even among MAGA these days. But it's a cult.
Put it another way; cigarettes aren't your core issue, but it sure does help a lot to stop smoking.

Are you interested in educating people about Obama's deficiencies, and how to avoid them? In showing people that he was a disappointing, capitalist, center-right president?

Exactly. I’m so damn tired of many USians assuming that Trump created this madness from scratch in 2016. They have to read their own history….at least glance at it.
Yep it’s an authoritarian people that put in an authoritarian state. The war on drugs got us far, and the USA PATRIOT Act got us further. It’s completely bipartisan.
There are no true and viable classical conservative or libertarian parties in the US.
Unfortunately, with many peers in Europe at this stage. They were ok for a while when the memories of the war and later the east German police were fresh, but people eventually begin to demand perfect safety at any cost. And the cycle repeats.
