I see your point.

All sweeping generalizations are, in fact, false.

That vocal subset has tarnished the term 'gamer' as a whole for me, I reflexively go to associating that label with them. There are those who game who are not part of the toxic Manosphere, but self describing as a gamer is a red flag for me.
