Not really. There weren't many Jewish people around my hometown.

I grew up in Minnesota. If you aren't in Highland Park or St. Louis Park there aren't that many Jewish families. There may have been a Jewish kid at my elementary school, but no one ever mentioned it.

There were a couple kids at my junior high whose names ended in -"witz." They had olive skin and aquiline noses. One of them was really into Maus. In retrospect, they were probably Jewish. Again though, it never really came up.
