What does the usual digital nomad make? (alien.top)

How much are the usual earnings of a digital nomad? (aka how much are you making?)

I feel most earn only $1000 to $2000 and spend it ALL on travelling. I don't think thats mentally and financially sustainable.

Been a DN since 2017 and I’ve seen it all.

  1. Some see it as an opportunity to start/ grow their business while keeping their costs relatively lower than back home (i.e they’re not making a lot or any money but they’re also not spending 5k a month on rent in NYC)

  2. Some people just make enough to sustain their travels and (e.g teaching english online (~30k a year).

  3. Some people run multi-million dollar companies and just don’t see the point in living in SF. I’ve seen a lot people people like that than you can image.

  4. Some people work in tech as devs, PMs and make (100-300k a year)

  5. Some people have your run of a mill lawyer/ architect/ accountant job.

As edcRachel said, being a DN isn’t a career it’s just something people do 😊
