Why don't teams play literal non basketball players to tank? (alien.top)

Got the inspiration from someone in a thread saying they would be great at losing games for a team, which made me wonder, why tanking teams don't play undrafted scrubs instead of NBA level players.

Lakers did that a few years with notables like Robert Sacre, Ryan Kelly, and the legendary Marcelo Huertas

Our rosters were very interesting during tanking seasons. Rosters that weren't even good for young player development. Sorta like the rockets last year.
