I feel like if they were normal jobs you could just say what they were.
They were normal fucking jobs, none of them were nazi collaborators. Most were rural people with farms, the lot in the cities were clerks and fucking shop keepers.
Go on, ask about skin colour and religion next. Ask if any were disabled, gay, out spoken, etc. I mean, there's got to be a justifiable reason your heros would have all those gulags, right?
