Home automation is the residential extension of building automation.

It is automation of the home, housework or household activity.

Home automation may include centralized control of lighting, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), appliances, security locks of gates and doors and other systems, to provide improved convenience, comfort, energy efficiency and security.

Hey all,

I hope this is the right place to post my question. I got a raspberry pi 4 as a birthday gift and I'm planning to do a bunch of things, but I don't have the time to do it now. So I would like to get a floor heating thermostat which supports Zigbee (if it has an app out of the box included, even better to start off) to program it at a later point, but for now I just want a more intuitive user experience while setting the floor heating as the current one is super confusing, I have no idea when it even works.

My apartment came with this old thing:

I have no idea if any of the thermostats I found online are compatible with my system nor how any of this works. Any help is appreciated!

I'm located within the EU.

hey there, consider checking out the Tado Smart Thermostat - it's Zigbee compatible and has a user-friendly app for easy programming. It's a popular choice in the EU and should work well with your system. Good luck!
