I tried instagram & twitter for a week or two each back in like 2019. I thought they were kinda dumb and deleted them.
I disabled my facebook account in the latter half of 2020 because it was just making me depressed. I don’t think I’ll ever actually delete my account, since it has my only copies of pictures with now-deceased family members. But the longer I’m gone the less I miss it. Especially the algorithmic sort, aka “you’ll watch the content we show you and to hell with your preferences”.
You can download your data from Facebook, and please consider deleting it.
You can see a lot of news says Instagram and Facebook AI are disabling users' accounts for no reason and provide no way to get them back without uploading your ID or selfie. So at the end, no matter what, you are disabled to keep your account. They themselves will erase your account from the platform for no valid reasons.
The primary thing we didn't notice when we used all these platforms was that it's a business and we are their products. Why destroy our health and time to make some toxic platforms wealthy?
Just download the photos and say sayonara to it
Yeah they have something- Facebook takeout? I don't know but basically they let you download everything into a zip and that's that.
At least they did years ago.
