Actually, there is nothing to say specifically about Threads. It's just another platform copied by Mark Zuckerberg.

Mark always has an urge to copy its competitors, as we always know. That's how threats have been created using the ActivityPub protocol. and their stupid demands, like only Instagram users can create accounts and use threats.

It happened when Elon Musk purchased Twitter, and a lot of users started migrating to Bluesky-like platforms. Maybe Mark thinks those people will also consider threads as an option.

I think nobody actually uses that platform for serious reasons like people use X at all. Maybe I am feeling this way because I never had an Instagram or Threads account in the past years.
