Just because South Park isnt very libertarian-conservative anymore doesn’t make it not a good show. And it dosent make it a show that dosent offend people, because it still does. It seems like some people are just so obsessed with the thought of South Park Making fun of both sides and it still does, but in a different way. Like PC principal, a lot of minorities know a guy like PC principal, and PC principal is a parody on how liberal white people are so obsessed with being politically correct to erase their whiteness and their privilege. It’s not a parody on “everything’s so woke now” They even mention it in season 19, and it’s not hard to notice with everyone in the frat being white and speaking about social change. You don’t even have to be a minority to recognize that. Or how South Park adressed that climate change is real, which the creators also adressed with an interview they did with colorados governor. sodosopa is such an obvious critique on capitalism and gentrification And South Park has always supported gay people. But the addition of tweek and Craig being canon is a big change. Having gay characters that arnt stereotypes is a big thing that signifies change, especially in a political-type show like this. Even in panderverse, where Stan does know that black characters are still cool, like miles morales. IF they are they’re on character and not just changed an original character to a minority to try to get points. (Which black people don’t even like btw we feel the same way) and when Cartman says making fun of woke stuff all the time is pretty lame too because it is. Making fun of one side obsessively does get pretty lame. Which this sub, I don’t believe understands that sentiment sometimes.

It’s like how Bo burnham did a lot of edgy jokes in the past, adressed it. And he still makes amazing “offensive” ish comedy. But it’s definitely more left leaning. Some people are just so obsessed with south parks identity, what it represents, making fun of both sides. But it’s okay to acknowledge how it’s changed. It’ll always make fun of both sides, but you can’t say that it hasn’t been making fun or more right than left. It would be silly to not see that. I would say it’s still libertarian, but just more left leaning because of the times changing. Some of this is just me yapping on about stuff, but I’d like to know some of you guys opinions and

DISCLAIMER: I know some will be mad about this post so I’m putting this here to say I love South Park for its comedy, and its writing. I am not offended by the show, I understand it’s satire, yadda yadda, all that fun stuff. But genuinely it’s great and I love it even with the different opinions fans can interpret the show, and that’s okay, everybody understands things differently. And that’s what make discussing them fun :)

Last I checked, any assertion of fact needs evidence to support the claim. I have written and published on South Park in peer-reviewed academic journals and never come across any evidence to support what you suggest. Hence why I asked for whatever evidence you have to support that claim. Right now, it appears rather indefensible.
