Can someone explain the moon meme to me? Is it a lions being bad during this kind of moon phase? Or the home team curse? Or something else?

There was a tweet that showed, since the merger, the lions are 0-12 on thanksgiving when the moon’s phase is waxing gibbous. The moon today is in a waxing gibbous.
