trying to finally quit google for good. can anyone recommend a privacy focused email provider other than proton? (lemmy.blahaj.zone)

for some reason proton has always skeeved me out. i get gross corporate vibes from them that im not into at all.

General recommendation: pick a provider that allows you to make a number of aliases. Good for privacy and against spam.

Specifically: in Germany, the top paid recommendations are posteo.de and mailbox.org
