From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

I need to map network shares from my Synology NAS and also from a Win11 Pro desktop. There are just so many variations on how to do this. All I need to do is map drive letters to shares on startup so they are always available.

Sorry for the noob question.

I don't fully understand what you are trying to do? Are you using an Ubuntu machine, and want to access the nas and win11 storage in your filesystem? If so, just use either samba or sshfs. Easy to setup up and mount into the Ubuntu machine.

Yes, that's about it. I can see the NAS shares. I'll install samba to access the windows shares.
