From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

How to get windows to not do disk checking or ruin my bootloader when i add a linux partition on the same drive. I don't like the windows panicking when there is a linux partition on it and doing a variety of things, even if its not on the same ssd it STILL does disk checking but I have not seen anything worse than that on the same partition, but I need the space.

Dunno if this belongs in the linux subreddit but I mean if there is any way i can hide linux that could also work.

You can't.

Windows will rewrite your boot partition, when it feels like it.

It can be commanded to do this remotely, also. Its called a Windows Update. And Windows buries itself below Ring 0 via Pluton/TPMv2.

It does this because the NSA likes being able to keep tabs on everyone.

The precise/exact way this works is hardware/setup dependant, and changes every 6 months or so, ish, but yeah this bootloader fuckery nonsense has been going on for years now, in dual boot setups, and there really is not a plausible explanation for this continuing as a persistent 'problem', other than Windows makes NSA backdoors into your entire system, or breaks shit while trying to.

Dual booting is dumb if you value system security and stability.
