Personally I'm mixed on the idea. Not a huge fan of BYD as a company, but not really worse than Stellantis at this point and at least they'd be making cars in Canada, so I'd be cautiously for it.

Yeah but I won’t run that tech, so can it run without an antenna or internet access?

All new cars have spyware, GM OnStar is the worst, they even upload your weight from the airbag sensor.

Don't quote me on this but I believe they only started making over-the-air updates an option in 2025. It's not required AFAIK.
