You're no better if all you do is mock the ones who lost something❤️🩹. Just saying try being a bit more empathetic.
He and his ilk actively, deliberately, knowingly wanted fascism and they got it. And now they're paying for it, but so are we. And so is the rest of the world. And my capacity for empathy only extends so far.
Fuck this guy. He deserves everything he gets. The only person I feel sorry for in this entire story is his deceased brother.
He doesn't actually say he's going to vote differently though. It's implied, he probably intends it to be implied, but there's a good chance he hasn't magically become less 'conservative'.
If you wave a weapon around with your finger on the trigger and kill someone. Have all the remorse afterwards that you want. No one owes you empathy. The family? Yes.
This is a much bigger problem of course. That people vote being so misinformed in the first place. That are media has so collapsed that people can be so misinformed in the first place. That our government has so collapsed that it didn't lock up and disqualify this man from ever running again. All of this happened and everyone watched. But so many people just let it pass like it was nothing.
Allowing such recent history to be obscured and memory holed. If anything, not enough people are being ridiculed.
I'm sorry but no. Not in this case.
Trump is a felon. He is a convicted sex offender. He organized the Jan 6 insurrection. EVERYBODY knew those things. Even the most simple-minded Bible-thumping redneck who voted for Trump deliberately voted for a guy who did things that run contrary to basic Christian moral values.
Ignorance and misunderstanding are not valid excuses in the case of Trump: the guy was very publicly awful, and it was not difficult to understand the sort of man he was and the sort of things he did.
Those who voted for this shit WANTED this shit. It very much wasn't a mistake on their part.
I will be as empathetic as they are, which is to say, they can lick my ball sweat to cool their tongues in hell...
"Give them more inches, surely they won't take more miles this time!"
The only people who were “tricked” by Trump were the hateful and stupid. He learned a lesson, sure, but it was not a difficult one to learn and yet he it took this to finally make him figure it out.
And like most of them, he still won’t truly learn why what he did was bad and will likely do it again.
Ya guys, show some support for the people who’ll fucking send you to concentration camp for the lols when it actually backfires. It’s really hard on them!
After all, he didn't think they would kill HIS brother. Only others brothers, moms, dads, kids,...
